The Knight Group has a rare opportunity available! We are currently in search of a top-performing General Sales Manager to lead one of our Automotive Teams in Elk Grove, CA. The Sales Director will report directly to the General Manager, and will oversee both the Sales and Finance Departments to drive business results and profitability while enhancing the customer experience and retention. Key Responsibilities
· Manage, lead and support the Sales Team; including all Sales Managers, Finance Managers and Sales Associates by holding them accountable to achieving current business and productivity goals while improving profitability and efficiency.
· Lead by example our company values in day-to-day Leadership to create a positive, motivating workplace which maximizes employee engagement and development.
· Train, coach and mentor managers and employees on industry best practices. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty, generate referrals and enhance the reputation of the dealership in the community.
Our Ideal Candidate
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Leadership capacity within a dealership.
· Experience in both Sales and Finance is an asset. Proven leadership ability and Team building skills to effectively motivate, inspire and manage employees.
· A Team player committed to working with Leadership and employees to ensure goal alignment and achievement.
· Excellent knowledge of operations and business processes; especially automotive Sales and Finance.
· Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a continuous improvement pedigree. Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills.
· Exceptional communication skills and the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees.
· A passion to be involved in and connected to the community through various activities and volunteer opportunities.
